A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Tristan Markese York Brown. WHEREAS, Tristan Markese York Brown was born May 1, 2009, to Lindsey Danielle York Brown and Rico Brown, Jr.; and WHEREAS, Tristan Markese York Brown was a vibrant 16 year old from Berea and a sophomore at Madison Southern High School, where his presence was a gift to his peers and teachers alike. He loved football, shoes, photography, fishing, his dogs, and playing video games, especially Grand Theft Auto 5. He also enjoyed traveling and marveling at the sunset; and WHEREAS, Tristan Markese York Brown was defined by a heart that knew no bounds. He was a steadfast friend, a pillar of reliability, and a young man whose respect for others was matched only by his kindness. Above all, he embraced his role as a devoted big brother to his sister, Laniya, with a protective and gentle spirit; and WHEREAS, Tristan Markese York Brown's life was anchored by his faith. He was a dedicated servant of Christ and a faithful member of Life Church in Richmond. Tristan lived with a grace that extended far beyond his years; and WHEREAS, on July 20, 2025, Tristan Markese York Brown tragically departed these earthly bounds.
