A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Jessica Patton Rudy. WHEREAS, Jessica Patton Rudy was born on September 3, 1983, in Louisville, Kentucky; and WHEREAS, Jessica Patton Rudy was a warm person with a contagious smile - a kind soul who made everyone feel welcome; and WHEREAS, Jessica Patton Rudy's professional career was working in administration for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Possessed of a true servant's heart, her true passion was for serving others. Hearing the cries of the needy, she answered the call through her volunteer work with Hope Unlimited, an organization dedicated to supporting women through unplanned pregnancies, and Beyond Uganda, which works to strengthen communities through empowering women, advancing education, and restoring families in Uganda. She loved Jesus deeply and committed herself to living a Christian life as a faithful member of Heartland Church; and WHEREAS, Jessica Patton Rudy met people exactly where they were and loved them unconditionally, sharing her boundless compassion and generous spirit with all; and WHEREAS, while Jessica Patton Rudy gave so much of herself to others, her greatest devotion was to her family - especially her daughter, Maddie, for whom she created a childhood filled with magic, meaningful experiences, and unconditional love; and WHEREAS, in her spare time, Jessica Patton Rudy liked going to the …
