A JOINT RESOLUTION designating the Sean Robert King Share the Road Memorial Highway in Lyon County. WHEREAS, Sean Robert King was a devoted husband, loving father of four children, and cherished member of his community; and WHEREAS, on May 24, 2023, Sean Robert King was tragically killed while riding his bicycle on Kentucky Route 93, a loss that deeply affected his family, friends, and all who knew him; and WHEREAS, Sean Robert King was known for his kindness, his commitment to his family, and his dedication to living an active and engaged life; and WHEREAS, Sean Robert King's passing serves as a solemn reminder of the importance of roadway safety and the shared responsibility of motorists and cyclists to protect one another; and WHEREAS, on December 11, 2025, the Lyon County Fiscal Court adopted a Resolution supporting the designation of a portion of Kentucky Route 93 in honor of Sean Robert King; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The Transportation Cabinet shall designate a portion of Kentucky Route 93 in Lyon County, from the intersection with Poplar Creek Road (mile point 18.239) to the intersection with Kentucky Route 819 (mile point 20.394) as the "Sean Robert King Share the Road Memorial Highway" and shall, within 30 days of the effective …
