A RESOLUTION recognizing February 5, 2026, as Kentucky Nurses Day in the Commonwealth. WHEREAS, nurses positively impact the health and well-being of Kentuckians across the Commonwealth; and WHEREAS, the nursing profession is recognized as the nation's most trusted profession; and WHEREAS, nurses have been licensed in Kentucky since 1914, and over 100,000 nurses are currently licensed in the Commonwealth, working in a variety of settings and specialties; and WHEREAS, Kentucky's nurses have been continuously dedicated to providing care, teaching nursing students, contributing to the scientific understanding of illness and health, and promoting good health policy; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The members of the House of Representatives hereby recognize February 5, 2026, as Kentucky Nurses Day in the Commonwealth. Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in honor, recognition, and celebration of Kentucky's nurses and the service and high-quality care that they provide to Kentuckians. Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Representative Rebecca Raymer for delivery. XXXX 2/2/2026 4:50 PM Jacketed
