A RESOLUTION recognizing and congratulating T. Gerard "Gerry" Bradley on his appointment as president of the University of Louisville. WHEREAS, T. Gerard "Gerry" Bradley received his bachelor's degree in dentistry from University College Cork in his native country of Ireland. He earned his master's degree in orthodontics from The Ohio State University and his doctorate in dentistry from the University of Bern in Switzerland; and WHEREAS, Gerry Bradley has dedicated many years to promoting excellence in higher education, serving as chair and professor of developmental sciences at Marquette University. During his time at Marquette, Bradley served as associate dean of research and graduate studies; and WHEREAS, Gerry Bradley joined the University of Louisville in 2016 as dean of the School of Dentistry and later served as executive vice president for academic affairs and university provost; and WHEREAS, Gerry Bradley has achieved great success in each of his roles at the University of Louisville and has been instrumental in improving the first-year student retention rate, increasing overall enrollment, and designing and launching various successful academic programs; and WHEREAS, Gerry Bradley has stated, "My heart is at the University of Louisville," and university officials say Bradley's leadership has strengthened the university's foundation and its reach across the state; and WHEREAS, on October 10, 2025, Gerry Bradley was formally inaugurated as the 20th …
