A RESOLUTION congratulating Notre Dame Academy for its accomplishment of being recognized as a 2025 National Blue Ribbon School. WHEREAS, this distinguished body places a high value on educational excellence in all schools within the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and WHEREAS, in August 2025, Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, Kentucky was notified by the United States Department of Education that it had met the requirements for National Blue Ribbon School recognition as an "Exemplary High Performing School"; and WHEREAS, for a school to qualify as an "Exemplary High Performing School," its students must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, ranking within the top percent of schools in the state or nationally; and WHEREAS, the Commonwealth is home to many outstanding institutions that have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools; and WHEREAS, Notre Dame Academy was one of only 55 private schools nationwide, and one of only two in Kentucky, to receive this distinction in 2025; and WHEREAS, Notre Dame Academy has a longstanding tradition of excellence, as this recognition marks the fourth time in its history that it has been selected as a National Blue Ribbon School; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1.
