A RESOLUTION honoring John and Debbie Rogers, of Somerset, Kentucky, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. WHEREAS, John and Debbie Rogers were married on December 12, 1975; and WHEREAS, their union yielded three children, Ben Rogers, Samantha Richardson, and Lauren New; and five grandchildren, Hadley Rogers, Will Richardson, Olivia Richardson, Charlotte New, and Skyler New; and WHEREAS, John Rogers is a former State Senator and Republican leader; and WHEREAS, less than six percent of all married couples surpass 50 years of marriage; and WHEREAS, on December 12, 2025, John and Debbie Rogers celebrated wonderful years of loving marriage, and they marked the momentous occasion with a celebration on December 13, 2025; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The Senate hereby honors and congratulates John and Debbie Rogers on the momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary, and wishes them many more years of love and happiness in their union. Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Senator Robert Stivers for presentation to John and Debbie Rogers. XXXX 1/13/2026 11:12 AM Jacketed
