A RESOLUTION To commend and congratulate Loren Sullivan, Verbon Muhammad, Sydney Cuillier, Ashley Lovelace, and Erich White, known collectively as "The Dream Team", on the remarkable achievement of earning an Emmy Award for their outstanding documentary, The Hidden Sport. WHEREAS, The Hidden Sport is a compelling short documentary produced by students of Southern University that focuses on the world-renowned Southern University Human Jukebox marching band; and WHEREAS, this powerful film explores the rigorous physical demands, discipline, and cultural significance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) marching bands, particularly the Human Jukebox, framing their performances within the broader context of athleticism and competition; and WHEREAS, The Hidden Sport challenges traditional definitions of sport and competition, spotlighting the dedication, precision, and excellence of marching band members and their contributions to HBCU culture and student life; and WHEREAS, the documentary was conceived, produced, and directed by a talented group of Southern University students: Loren Sullivan, Verbon Muhammad, Sydney Cuillier, Ashley Lovelace, and Erich White, collectively known as "The Dream Team"; and Page 1 of SLS 25RS-2948 ORIGINAL SR NO.
