A RESOLUTION To commend Paul T. DeRousselle, II, on his many accomplishments as a sports agent, author, scholarship initiator, and active citizen of his community. WHEREAS, Paul T. DeRousselle, II, is a native of Eunice, Louisiana; the son of Sheila and Paul T. DeRousselle, Sr.; the brother of Shelana and Denise DeRousselle; and the father of Alanna DeRousselle; and WHEREAS, Paul is the founder of the Go Be Great Scholarship initiative, which supports local children in their educational pursuits; he is guided by the wisdom of his grandfather, who taught him that "those who walk with God always reach their destination", and continues to make a lasting impact in his community and the sports world; and WHEREAS, Paul was a Spring 2004 initiate of the Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, at Southern University and served as president of that chapter; and WHEREAS, Paul earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Southern University; as an undergraduate at Southern University, his achievements extended beyond academics: he was a four-year letterman in tennis, he played an integral role in leading the Jaguars to back-to-back SWAC titles and two NCAA tournament appearances, and he represented Southern as the national delegate on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, Paul is a proud magna cum laude graduate of Southern …
