A RESOLUTION To commend and congratulate Ed Tillison as a pioneer in professional football and to recognize his leadership in both business and community service. WHEREAS, Ed Tillison, a native of Pearl River, Louisiana, and a graduate of Pearl River High School, has distinguished himself as the first resident of Pearl River to become a professional football player for the Detroit Lions and to compete in the National Football League; and WHEREAS, his performance at the professional level demonstrated exceptional athleticism, perseverance, and dedication, establishing him as a trailblazer for athletes from Pearl River and becoming a source of great pride for Pearl River and the surrounding region; and WHEREAS, beyond his athletic accomplishments, Ed Tillison has made a lasting impact, which will inspire future generations, through his commitment to community service and development, mentorship of youth, and support of local initiatives designed to improve the quality of life in the Pearl River community; and WHEREAS, Ed Tillison has contributed to and invested in the economic growth and vitality of the Pearl River community through business ventures, which include Tillison Trucking & Bobcat Services, LLC and Tillison Carriages, LLC, providing services and Page 1 of SLS 26RS-4599 ORIGINAL SR NO. employment opportunities for residents of Pearl River and beyond; and WHEREAS, his leadership in both business and community service reflects …
