Printed on recycled paper Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows: Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §1599-A, sub-§1-A is enacted to read: 1-A. Definitions. As used in this section, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the following meanings. A. "Abortion" means the act of using or prescribing any instrument, medicine, drug or any other substance, device or means with the intent to terminate a clinically diagnosable pregnancy with knowledge that the termination by those means will with reasonable likelihood cause the death of the fetus.
