AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF MCCOMB TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF A FIRE STATION IN SOUTH MCCOMB AND PURCHASING A NEW FIRE TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE STATION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of the City of McComb, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated with the construction and equipping of a fire station in South McComb and purchasing a new fire truck and equipment for the station, as provided in Section 2, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027... $ 5,000,000.00. SECTION 2. The money appropriated by Section 1 shall be used as follows: (a) Construction of new fire station..... $ 2,000,000.00 (b) Equipping the fire station...........$ 500,000.00 (c) Purchase of new fire truck...........$ 2,000,000.00 *HR31/R763* H.
