AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF PETAL TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO AND EXPANSION OF THE CITY'S WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE NECESSARY FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSPORTING WASTEWATER TO THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG'S SEWER LAGOON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of the City of Petal, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs associated with construction and development of additions and improvements to and expansion of the city's wastewater infrastructure necessary for the purpose of transporting wastewater to the City of Hattiesburg's sewer lagoon for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... .................................................... $ 1,200,000.00 SECTION 2.
