A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE CHEER TEAM FOR ITS MULTIPLE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND CONTINUED EXCELLENCE AT THE 2026 UCA AND UDA COLLEGE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, the Northwest Mississippi Community College Cheer Team, under the outstanding leadership of Head Coach Brandon Casey and Assistant Coach Rainy Bordelon, has once again demonstrated elite competitive excellence by earning multiple top finishes at the 2026 UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships, held in Orlando, Florida; and WHEREAS, at the 2026 national competition, the Northwest Cheer Team captured 1st place in the Open Co-Ed Game Day division, securing a back-to-back national championship in the division and reaffirming the program's dominance on the national stage; and WHEREAS, the Northwest Cheer Team also earned a 1st place finish in the Open All-Girl Cheer division, achieving a three-peat national championship, an extraordinary accomplishment that *HR26/R2640* H.
