A RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING DIRECTOR JOHN B. MILLER UPON THE SPECIAL OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE BILOXI POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, Director John B. Miller is being honored and celebrated upon the special occasion of his retirement after years of outstanding service with the Biloxi Police Department; and WHEREAS, blessed with an innate spirit to serve, Director Miller was appointed Director of Police in December 2009, after working his way up through the ranks, holding the positions of Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain; and WHEREAS, Director Miller's affiliations include: serving as the Board Chairman of the Regional Organized Crime Information Center, former President of the Gulf Coast Center for Non-Violence and the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police, former President of the Harrison County Emergency Communications Commission, member of the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force, the Attorney General's Mental Health Task Force, past Keesler Air *HR26/R1790* H. R. No. 10 ~ OFFICIAL ~ N1/2 26/HR26/R1790 PAGE 1 (MCL\KW) Force Base Honorary Commander, and he currently serves on the Board for High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area; and WHEREAS, throughout his tenure, Director Miller's professional conduct and devotion to law enforcement has been evident through his 35 years of public service; and WHEREAS, Director Miller attended the Southeastern Command and Leadership Academy, where he graduated first in his class, and he also attended …
