A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE LAMAR SCHOOL RAIDERS FOOTBALL TEAM AND HEAD COACH JACOB LAND UPON WINNING THE 2025 MID-SOUTH ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS (MAIS) CLASS 4A DIVISION III STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. WHEREAS, the Lamar School Raiders Football Team once again demonstrated exceptional excellence, discipline and determination by winning the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Class 4A Division III State Championship with a decisive victory over Brookhaven Academy on Saturday, November 22, 2025; and WHEREAS, this championship marks the seventh state football title in Lamar School history, a milestone that reflects the sustained tradition of athletic excellence, character development and competitive success cultivated within the Lamar Raiders football program; and WHEREAS, the Raiders opened the championship contest with commanding intensity, scoring two early touchdowns to establish a 14-0 lead, while the Lamar defense delivered an electrifying performance highlighted by two decisive interception returns for *HR43/R2343* H.
