A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE MISSISSIPPI COMMUNICATION ASSOCIATION ON THE OCCASION OF ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY. WHEREAS, the Mississippi Communication Association was founded in 1926 by educators and scholars dedicated to the study, teaching and advancement of human communication; and WHEREAS, for 100 years, the Mississippi Communication Association has served as a professional organization committed to excellence in communication education, research and public discourse throughout the State of Mississippi; and WHEREAS, the association has provided a vital forum for teachers, students, researchers and practitioners to share scholarship, foster collaboration, and promote ethical and effective communication in classrooms, communities and civic life; and WHEREAS, the Mississippi Communication Association has played a significant role in strengthening higher education in *HR43/R1675* H. R. No. 31 ~ OFFICIAL ~ N1/2 26/HR43/R1675 PAGE 1 (RKM\KP) Mississippi by supporting faculty development, student engagement and academic excellence across colleges and universities; and WHEREAS, through its conferences, publications and service, the association has contributed to the preparation of generations of Mississippians for leadership, citizenship and professional success; and WHEREAS, the year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the Mississippi Communication Association, a milestone worthy of recognition and celebration; and WHEREAS, the Mississippi Communication Association will commemorate its centennial anniversary on February 6, 2026, honoring its history, achievements and ongoing commitment to the advancement of communication in the State …
