A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MISS ABBEY HARTY UPON BEING CROWNED MISS RODEO CANADA 2026 AND RECOGNIZING HER DEDICATION TO THE SPORT OF RODEO AND WESTERN HERITAGE. WHEREAS, in December 2025, Miss Abbey Harty, a 22-year-old first-generation rodeo athlete from Edam, Saskatchewan, was crowned Miss Rodeo Canada 2026, a prestigious title that recognizes her dedication to the sport of rodeo and the promotion of western culture; and WHEREAS, raised in a rural ranching community, Abbey has been involved in rodeo and horsemanship for over a decade, competing in multiple rodeo associations across Western Canada; and WHEREAS, through her involvement in the sport, Abbey has developed strong values of perseverance, respect, and community -- principles that guide both her personal and professional life; and WHEREAS, Abbey currently serves as an executive member and Social Media Manager for the University of Saskatchewan College Rodeo Team, and she proudly holds a position as a board member of *HR43/R2345* H. R.
