A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE GERMANTOWN HIGH SCHOOL MAVERICKS CHEERLEADING TEAM AND HEAD CHEER COACH NEELY UMPHLETT ON WINNING THE UNIVERSAL CHEERLEADERS ASSOCIATION (UCA) NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL GAME DAY CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP. WHEREAS, on February 1, 2026, with an unbelievable performance that will surely go down in school history, the Germantown High School Mavericks Cheerleading Team reigned supreme when the cheerleaders were named the 2026 Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Champions in the Game Day category at Walt Disney World Resort; and WHEREAS, not to be left out of the celebration in Orlando, the Mavericks Small Coed Cheer Team, comprised of 18 students, incredibly added to the school history-making event by pulling off a flawless, zero deduction routine in the UCA's Traditional category, which earned the squad a Top 10 finish at Nationals by placing ninth out of 27 teams, further solidifying the Germantown High cheerleading program's impeccable reputation as one consistently delivering energy, excitement and school spirit to the crowds; and *HR26/R2653* H.
