A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE PASCAGOULA HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM AND HEAD COACH LORENZO WRIGHT UPON WINNING THEIR FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE SCHOOL'S HISTORY. WHEREAS, the Pascagoula High School Boys Basketball Team are the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 6A state basketball champions after accomplishing an extraordinary 2025-2026 season as dominant contenders with a 28-6 overall record, winning the final 18 games of the season; and WHEREAS, the championship 56-54 win over Terry High School is also historic because it is the first-ever basketball championship title that Pascagoula High School has won since the school's existence; and WHEREAS, this impressive team also dominated district-wide by ending the district season undefeated with a record of 12-0; and WHEREAS, this historic win is a proud milestone for Pascagoula High School and the surrounding community, reflecting the dedication of student-athletes, coaches, families and supporters who stood behind the team throughout the season; and *HR43/R2734* H.
