A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE TISHOMINGO COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL LADY BRAVES BASKETBALL TEAM AND HEAD COACH JOHN STRICKLAND UPON WINNING THE 2026 MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (MHSAA) CLASS 4A STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP. WHEREAS, the Tishomingo County High School Lady Braves Basketball Team completed an outstanding 2025-2026 season by capturing the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 4A State Basketball Championship, finishing the season with an impressive 28-2 overall record; and WHEREAS, the Lady Braves demonstrated dominance throughout the postseason, winning all five playoff contests by an average margin of 26 points, reflecting their discipline, preparation and superior level of play against elite competition; and WHEREAS, the team competed against one of the most challenging schedules in the State of Mississippi, securing victories over three of the top 10 teams and eight of the top teams, further solidifying their status as one of the premier basketball programs in the state; and *HR26/R2755* H.
