SECOND REGULAR SESSION HOUSE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 3316 103RD GENERAL ASSEMBLY 7087H.02C JOSEPH ENGLER, Chief Clerk To repeal sections 144.070, 301.010, 301.020, 301.030, 301.050, 301.055, 301.070, 301.110, 301.140, 301.142, 301.147, 301.190, 301.550, 301.560, 301.570, 301.600, 302.170, 307.350, and 643.315, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof nineteen new sections relating to motor vehicles, with penalty provisions and a contingent effective date. Section A. Sections 144.070, 301.010, 301.020, 301.030, 301.050, 301.055, 301.070, 301.110, 301.140, 301.142, 301.147, 301.190, 301.550, 301.560, 301.570, 301.600, 302.170, 307.350, and 643.315, RSMo, are repealed and nineteen new sections enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections 144.070, 301.010, 301.020, 301.030, 301.050, 301.055, 301.070, 301.110, 301.140, 301.142, 301.147, 301.190, 301.550, 301.560, 301.570, 301.600, 302.170, 307.350, and 643.315, to read as follows: 144.070. 1. At the time the owner of any new or used motor vehicle, trailer, boat, or outboard motor which was acquired in a transaction subject to sales tax under the Missouri sales tax law makes application to the director of revenue for an official certificate of title and the registration of the motor vehicle, trailer, boat, or outboard motor as otherwise provided by law, the owner shall present to the director of revenue evidence satisfactory to the director of revenue showing the purchase price exclusive of any charge incident to the extension …
