What the bill says
From the introduced text:
One Hundred Ninth Legislature - Second Session - 2026 Introducer's Statement of Intent LB810 Chairperson: Senator Mike Jacobson Committee: Banking, Commerce and Insurance The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be accomplished thereby: LB 810 amends sections 81-885.03, 81-885.07, and 81-885.25. To eliminate notice requirements for cease-anddesist orders as provided, and to provide for a Deputy Director. Currently sections 81-885.03 and 810885.07 are in direct conflict with each other on procedures for the Director to issue cease and desist orders. This bill will cure the conflict and make the procedure for issuing such orders clear. The Deputy Director portion of the bill clarifies the position that already exists. State Personnel eliminated the classification which required creating a new classification. Upon review, the Commission requested a change in statute to protect this position for future hiring purposes. Principal Introducer: ________________________________ Senator Robert Dover
