AN ACT making an appropriation to Esmeralda County to study certain issues relating to growth and economic development; and providing other matters properly relating thereto. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General Fund to Esmeralda County the sum of $400,000 for a study of growth, including, without limitation: (a) The study of population growth related to economic development in the mining and renewable energy industries, including, without limitation, solar and geothermal energy; (b) The feasibility of housing, including, without limitation, any necessary analysis of land use provisions set forth by the Congress of the United States, the Bureau of Land Management, the Division of State Lands of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and other related entities; and (c) Research relating to flood mapping for the purpose of developing necessary infrastructure related to population growth and - *AB30* the development of housing, including, without limitation, transportation, water and sewer development. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2029, by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise transferred in any manner, and …
