An Act concerning administration of the New Jersey Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health Act and supplementing and amending P.L.1983, c.516. Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey: 1. (New section) To the extent not inconsistent with any federal law, and notwithstanding any other State law, all powers, functions and duties of the Department of Health or the Commissioner of the Department of Health relating to inspection, investigation, and related activities under the New Jersey Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health Act, P.L.1983, c.516 (C.34:6A-25 et seq.), are hereby transferred to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development or the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, as appropriate, along with the proportionate share of the resources necessary to maintain these activities. 2. Section 3 of P.L.1983, c.516 (C.34:6A-27) is amended to read as follows: 3. As used in this act: a. "Advisory board" means the Public Employees' Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Board created by section 4 of [this act] [ADDED: P.L.1983, c.516 (C.34:6A-25 et seq.)] ; b. "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Labor [ADDED: and Workforce Development] or [his] [ADDED: the commissioners] designee; c.
