A5538 ASSEMBLY, No. 5538 STATE OF NEW JERSEY 222nd LEGISLATURE INTRODUCED SEPTEMBER 24, 2026 Sponsored by: Assemblyman ROY FREIMAN District 16 (Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset) SYNOPSIS Makes FY2027 supplemental appropriation of $455,000 to DOH for NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders. CURRENT VERSION OF TEXT As introduced. A Supplement to the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, P.L.2026, c.27. Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey: 1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2026, c.27, the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, there is appropriated from the General Fund the following amount for the purpose specified: 46 DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH 20 Physical and Mental Health 21 Health Services GRANTS-IN-AID 02-4220 Family Health Services .......................................... $455,000 Total Grant-in-Aid appropriation, Health Services .................................................... [ADDED: $455,000] Grant-in-Aid: 02 NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders ($455,000) 2. This act shall take effect immediately. STATEMENT This bill makes a FY2027 supplemental appropriation of $455,000 to the Department of Health for the NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders. In doing do, the bill restores the FY2026 appropriation of $455,000 that was that was cut from the current fiscal years appropriations act for the center. Founded in 2004, the centers …
