An Act concerning the benefits provided to members and certain retirees of the Teachers Pension and Annuity Fund, amending various parts of the statutory law, and supplementing N.J.S.18A:66-1 et seq. Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey: 1. (New section) a. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of P.L.2008, c.89; P.L.2010, c.1; P.L.2010, c.3; P.L.2011, c.78; or any other law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, all current, non-retired members of the Teachers Pension and Annuity Fund enrolled in the system after May 21, 2010 shall be entitled to and shall receive the same benefits received by members of the retirement system who enrolled in the system within the period starting after November 1, 2008, and ending on or before May 21, 2010, including, but not limited to, service retirement, deferred retirement, early retirement, veterans retirement, ordinary disability retirement, and accidental disability retirement benefits. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, all new members of the Teachers Pension and Annuity Fund who enroll in the system on or after the effective date of P.L. , c. (C. ) (pending before the Legislature as this bill), shall be entitled to and shall receive the same benefits received by members of the retirement system who enrolled in the system …
