An Act concerning youth serving organizations and amending and supplementing P.L.1999, c.432. Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey: 1. Section 1 of P.L.1999, c.432 (C.15A:3A-1) is amended to read as follows: 1. As used in this act: Criminal history record serving organization or organization means a [ADDED: sports team, league, an athletic association, any entity that provides private athletic lessons, or any other] corporation, [ADDED: private or non-profit] association or other organization [established pursuant to Title 15 of the Revised Statutes, Title 15A of the New Jersey Statutes, or other law of this State, but excluding] [ADDED: that provides recreational, cultural, charitable, social, or other activities or services for persons under 18 years of age. The term shall not include] public and nonpublic schools [, and which provides recreational, cultural, charitable, social or other activities or services for persons younger than 18 years of age, and is exempt from federal income taxes] [ADDED: and youth camps licensed pursuant to P.L.1973, c.375 (C.26:12-1 et seq.)] .
