An Act concerning the financing and development of certain housing projects, and supplementing and amending various parts of the statutory law. Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey: 1. (New section) As used in P.L. , c. (C. ) (pending before the Legislature as this bill): Affordable housing means low-income housing and moderate-income housing. Agency means the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency established pursuant to section 4 of P.L.1983, c.530 (C.55:14K-4). Authority means the New Jersey Economic Development Authority established by section 4 of P.L.1974, c.80 (C.34:1B-4). Developer means a person, including a local government redeveloper, that proposes to complete or operate a social housing project or a workforce housing project. Director means the Director of the Division of Taxation in the Department of the Treasury. Division means the Division of Investment in the Department of the Treasury. Eligibility period means the period not to exceed 10 years, as specified in an incentive award agreement, during which a local government redeveloper may claim a tax credit under the Social Housing Program, as such period shall be determined by the agency pursuant to section 6 of P.L. , c. (C. ) (pending before the Legislature as this bill), provided that a local government redeveloper may elect a period not to exceed …
