Assembly Resolution No. 1393 BY: M. of A. Gray MOURNING the death of United States Border Patrol Agent Sean M. McDonough, devoted public servant, military veteran, family man, and beloved member of the North Country community WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to convey its grateful appreciation and heartfelt regret in recognition of the loss of a courageous and dedicated law enforcement officer who gave his life in the faithful service of his country, his community, and his fellow citizens; and WHEREAS, It is with profound sadness that this Legislative Body records the passing of United States Border Patrol Agent Sean M. McDonough, age 48, of Depauville, New York, who passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, after suffering a fatal medical emergency while conducting marine unit training on the St. Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay, New York; and WHEREAS, Agent McDonough died in the line of duty, training alongside his fellow agents to safeguard the northern border of the United States, exemplifying the readiness, sacrifice, and quiet heroism that define the men and women of United States Customs and Border Protection; and WHEREAS, Sean M.
