Senate Resolution No. 2259 BY: Senator CLEARE MOURNING the death of Susan Wright, distinguished citizen and devoted member of her community WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and this great Empire State; and WHEREAS, Susan Wright of Harlem, New York, died on Sunday, May 17, 2026; and WHEREAS, A respected and cherished presence within the Harlem community, Susan Wright was a woman known for her grace, strength, wisdom, and deep faith; and WHEREAS, Throughout her life, Susan Wright touched countless individuals through her service, guidance, and undeniable presence in the Harlem neighborhood and beyond; and WHEREAS, While Susan Wright impacted individuals throughout her community, her influence is best shown within her own family unit; and WHEREAS, Susan Wright's husband, former Assembly Member Keith L. T. Wright, and her two sons, Keith Jared Wright and Assembly Member Jordan J. G.
