Senate Resolution No. 2260 BY: Senator MARTINS HONORING Thomas Twors upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to Glen Cove Engine & Hose Fire Company No. 4 WHEREAS, Citizens across our State and Nation are inspired by, and indebted to, our noble volunteer firefighters who exhibit courage and bravery every day in the course of their duties; and WHEREAS, Volunteer firefighters exemplify the power of human compassion and the strength of the American spirit through actions of the most heroic magnitude; their sacrifices and selfless dedication merit tribute and recognition by all citizens of this great country; and WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Thomas Twors, upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to Glen Cove Fire Company No. 4, to be recognized at its Annual Inspection Dinner at the Glen Cove Fire House, on Saturday, September 12, 2026; and WHEREAS, For 50 years of exemplary service to Glen Cove Fire Company No. 4, his fellow firefighters, and the community of the City of Glen Cove, Thomas Twors has earned this honor; and WHEREAS, Thomas Twors served as Head of Fire Police, 1st and 2nd Lieutenant of Company, and Captain of Company No. 4 in 1990; he also served as Head …
