Assembly Resolution No. 1547 BY: M. of A. Bronson COMMENDING Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity upon the occasion of celebrating its 350th home dedication on June 12, 2026 WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of and publicly recognize those organizations within the State of New York which have positively contributed to the well-being of their communities and make a lasting impact on society; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity upon the occasion of celebrating its 350th home dedication on Friday, June 12, 2026; and WHEREAS, Operating under the Habitat for Humanity International framework, Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Rochester, New York, and serving Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne Counties, making it one of the largest Habitat for Humanity affiliates in New York State; and WHEREAS, Guided by the mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, and inspired by the vision that every person deserves a decent place to live, Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity has significantly supported the lives of many New Yorkers through its community programs and housing support; and WHEREAS, On June 12, 2026, Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the completion and …
