As Adopted by the House 136th General Assembly Regular Session H. R. No. 328 2025-2026 Speaker Huffman ARESOLUTION Authorizing the Ohio YMCA Youth and Government to use the Ohio House Chambers to conduct its 2026 model legislature. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO: WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio have learned that the Ohio YMCA Youth and Government has requested permission to use the Ohio House Chambers for its model legislature event, February 12 - February 13, 2026; and WHEREAS, A beneficial educational organization, the Ohio YMCA Youth and Government provides students with the opportunity to better appreciate and understand government and its components, and the knowledge gained through this event will certainly be of value to all participants throughout their lifetimes; and WHEREAS, By utilizing the facilities that accommodate those involved in the state legislative process, the Ohio YMCA Youth and Government will offer students an accurate depiction of state government and the manner in which legislation is created and processed; and WHEREAS, Through participation in the Ohio YMCA Youth and Government, students will be better prepared to become productive members of our complex and ever-changing society.
