As Adopted by the House 136th General Assembly Regular Session H. R. No. 258 2025-2026 Representative Thomas, J. ARESOLUTION Honoring FlameGuard on winning first place at the 2025 De La Vega Global Entrepreneurship Awards. WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend FlameGuard on placing first at the 2025 De La Vega Global Entrepreneurship Awards; and WHEREAS, The De La Vega Global Entrepreneurship Awards recognize the innovative spirit of young entrepreneurs from around the world, and this prestigious distinction is a fitting tribute to all those associated with FlameGuard, including Justin Lackey, Joe Lattarulo, Matt Smith, Zach Ferguson, and Jack Lancy. Indeed, these fine individuals invested countless hours of time and energy to bring their business from the concept phase all the way to a fully-operating enterprise, and they are deserving of high praise; and WHEREAS, A committed group of students and alumni of Jackson Township High School, the founders of FlameGuard were inspired by a recent tragedy to create a fire prevention business that could give back to the community, and they worked diligently to meet every challenge and overcome any obstacles they encountered.
