As Adopted by the Senate 136th General Assembly Regular Session S. R. No. 405 2025-2026 Senator Gavarone ARESOLUTION Honoring the Perkins High School baseball team on winning the 2026 Division IV State Championship. WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Perkins High School baseball team as the 2026 Division IV State Champion; and WHEREAS, The members of the Perkins High School baseball team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly exceptional competitors. At the 2026 Division IV State Championship game, the Pirates defeated the team from Bishop Fenwick High School 5-1 to secure the first state title in program history, and the unwavering commitment of the players and coaches has earned them the esteem of many. They are certainly deserving of high praise; and WHEREAS, Coach T.J. Blanton has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Perkins High School baseball team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishments.
