As Adopted by the Senate 136th General Assembly Regular Session S. R. No. 446 2025-2026 Senator Timken ARESOLUTION Honoring the YWCA of Alliance on its Centennial. WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the YWCA of Alliance on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and WHEREAS, Over the past century, the employees and volunteers of the YWCA of Alliance have directed themselves toward meaningful involvement in many beneficial programs and activities throughout the area, including providing transitional housing for women and families, offering childcare and job training, and advocating for gender equality and racial justice, and they have certainly distinguished themselves as dynamic leaders in their community. A dedicated group of individuals, they have donated countless hours of their time to meeting the needs of local residents, and their numerous achievements are truly praiseworthy; and WHEREAS, During the celebration of this milestone, all those associated with the YWCA of Alliance have the opportunity to reaffirm their goals and to formulate policies to meet the challenges and responsibilities of the future. Willingly giving of their energy and abilities, the management and staff, both past and present, have worked tirelessly to better the world around them.
