As Adopted by the House 136th General Assembly Regular Session H. R. No. 551 2025-2026 Representative Moore ARESOLUTION Honoring the Ohio University men's club hockey team as the 2026 ACHA Division 1 National Champion. WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ohio University men's club hockey team on winning the 2026 American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1 National Championship; and WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Ohio University men's club hockey team have combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the Bobcats have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in hockey, and as a result, they defeated a tough Adrian College team by the score of 3-1 to win this year's ACHA Division 1 National Championship, their first such title since 2004, and finished the season with an impressive 32-6 record; and WHEREAS, The Bobcats' achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school, the Athens community, and their coaches.
