An act relating to the public school system, including certain provisions applicable as well to private and parochial schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto," in terms and courses of study, providing for coordinated school closure board for inclement weather. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows: Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a section to read: Section 1507. Coordinated School Closure Board for Inclement Weather.--(a) Each school district that provides school transportation to students of nonpublic schools shall establish a school closure board for inclement weather no later than August 1, 2026. (b) The board shall be composed of the following members: (1) The school district superintendent or a designee, who shall serve as chairperson. (2) The school district's director or coordinator of transportation. (3) A member of the school district's buildings and grounds department, to be appointed by the school district superintendent. (4) The chief administrator from each nonpublic school located within the school district boundaries that receives transportation services from the school district. (c) All members shall serve for as long as they hold their respective positions. (d) (1) A majority of members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of any business. …
