A RESOLUTION Honoring the lives and expressing condolences for the losses of Chief Jeffory L. Buck and Assistant Chief Robert R. Shick, Jr. WHEREAS, Chief Jeffory L. Buck and Assistant Chief Robert R. Shick, Jr., were residents of Maidencreek Township, Berks County, and members of the Walnuttown Fire Company in Richmond Township, Berks County; and WHEREAS, Chief Buck was born November 25, 1965, in West Reading to Richard H. Buck and the late Sandra K. Schaeffer Buck; and WHEREAS, After graduating from Fleetwood Area High School, Chief Buck worked at Boyertown Foundry; and WHEREAS, Chief Buck would later join the East Penn Manufacturing Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic during his 35-year career as an assembly leadman; and WHEREAS, Chief Buck was a member of the Walnuttown Fire Company for 43 years, of which he served as Deputy Chief; and WHEREAS, In 2017, he was named chief of the company; and WHEREAS, Chief Buck was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Alsace Manor Social Quarters and a regular blood donor; and WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Shick was born August 22, 1969, in Abington to Doris Mansley and the late Robert R.
