A RESOLUTION Designating November 18, 2026, as "Kada Scott Day" in Pennsylvania. WHEREAS, Born in Philadelphia on November 18, 2001, Kada Yanda Scott was the daughter of Kevin Scott and Kim Matthews; and WHEREAS, Ms. Scott attended Eastern University Academy Charter School and The Pennsylvania State University; and WHEREAS, Ms. Scott's creativity and passion for design led her to establish her own clothing brand, K-Kouture; and WHEREAS, A competitor in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant, Ms. Scott showcased her confidence and creativity through her YouTube videos and other social media outlets; and WHEREAS, A seeker of peace, balance and growth, Ms. Scott enjoyed journaling, traveling and spending time in nature; and WHEREAS, Ms. Scott was known for her contagious laughter, bright smile, talent and ability to make everyone feel seen and valued; and WHEREAS, Ms. Scott was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, and her loss will be felt by the many individuals who knew, admired and loved her; and WHEREAS, Ms. Scott's inspiring presence and genuine love for her family and friends will live long in the hearts and memories of the numerous people whose lives she touched; and WHEREAS, Kada Yanda Scott passed away at the age of 23 in October 2025; and WHEREAS, Ms. Scott's spirit lives on through the work of the Kada Scott …
