CASIMIRO FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND Introduced By: Representatives Blazejewski, Kazarian, Alzate, Chippendale, Corvese, Fogarty, Donovan, Spears, Knight, and McGaw Date Introduced: June 11, 2026 Referred To: House read and passed WHEREAS, The Honorable Julie A. Casimiro was first elected to the Rhode Island House of Representatives in November of 2016, to serve the residents of District 31 in North Kingstown and Exeter with integrity, compassion, and distinction; and WHEREAS, In recognition of her strong leadership and commitment to public service, Representative Casimiro was appointed Deputy Majority Leader in January of 2019, and served as First Vice Chair of the House Committee on Oversight, Chair of the House Oversight Children and Families Subcommittee, and as a member of the House Education Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, and the House Veterans' Affairs Committee; and WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure in the General Assembly, Representative Casimiro has been a tireless advocate for children, families, students, veterans, consumers, and vulnerable Rhode Islanders, championing legislation to strengthen protections, improve public policy, and enhance quality of life throughout the State; and WHEREAS, During the 2025 legislative session, Representative Casimiro secured passage of legislation requiring Rhode Island schools …
