ABDULMAJID MUSSA NSEKELA, GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO, CRDB BANK, TANZANIA. W hereas, Dr. Abdulmajid Mussa Nsekela is a preeminent leader in East African finance, recently conferred with a PhD in management sciences for his groundbreaking research on corporate governance and financial performance; and W hereas, under his stewardship since 2018, CRDB Bank has undergone a seismic shift, growing its profit after tax by over 1,000% through aggressive digitalization, with nearly all bank transactions now managed via mobile platforms; and W hereas, his influence on the green economy is unparalleled. Dr. Nsekela pioneered the bank's accreditation as the first Direct Access Entity for the United Nations Green Climate Fund in East and Central Africa and subsequently issued Tanzania's first green bond.
