A house RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE PASSING OF KATHERINE LILES, A NATIVE OF MONCKS CORNER, TO CELEBRATE HER LIFE, AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS. W hereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives was deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of Moncks Corner native Katherine Liles, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and caregiver whose life was a testament to love, strength, service, and devotion to family; and W hereas, born on September 16, 1943, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Katherine Liles attended the Marlboro County public schools and furthered her education at the College of Human Services in New York City, later dedicating her professional life to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant in private home healthcare; and W hereas, Mrs. Liles possessed a generous spirit and a deep commitment to serving her community, giving freely of her time and resources through bicycle giveaways, Thanksgiving dinners, meals for those experiencing homelessness, and other acts …
