2026 Senate Commemoration 811 - SD Legislature commending and honoring Amber Vogt, a member of the Lead-Deadwood School District Board of Education, on her selection as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board Member of South Dakota for 2025. South Dakota Legislature Senate Commemoration 811 Introduced by: Senators Schoenfish, Crabtree, Deibert, Duhamel, and Perry and Representatives Muckey and Novstrup A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION commending and honoring Amber Vogt, a member of the Lead-Deadwood School District Board of Education, on her selection as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board Member of South Dakota for 2025. WHEREAS, Amber Vogt is deeply committed to her district and is regularly an outlet for students, staff, and community members, which makes her decisions as a board member very informed; and WHEREAS, she is a strong advocate for increased opportunities for students in this state and has been instrumental in the process of helping the district approve substantial salary increases; and WHEREAS, Ms. Vogt truly listens to staff on contract language requests and is very good at building consensus on the board; and WHEREAS, Ms. Vogt leads with her heart and is a smart and savvy board member who gives a great deal to her school district; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the …
