A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Cade Reel, 2026 Drive, Chip, and Putt National Finalist. WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly are pleased to recognize and commend those successful young athletes who, through their magnificent exploits, bring honor to Tennessee and serve as exceptional ambassadors of this State; and WHEREAS, one such estimable individual is Cade Reel of Dayton, an athlete of extraordinary talent, skill, and dedication, who has proven himself a formidable competitor on the golf course; and WHEREAS, Mr. Reel, aged eleven, finished fifth in the Boys 10-11 division at the 2026 Drive, Chip, and Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday, April 5, 2026, a feat that marks what is certain to be a long and successful golfing career for this talented young man; and WHEREAS, Cade Reel was one of three junior golfers representing Tennessee and one of only eighty junior golfers in the nation competing in the finals; and WHEREAS, his top-five finish comes after he advanced as far as the regional qualifier in 2023; through relentless determination, he continued to practice and refine his skills to ultimately earn his place as a finalist after winning in his age group at the Pinehurst Regional Qualifier in 2025; and WHEREAS, Mr. Reel began playing golf only three years ago, in 2023, after …
