A RESOLUTION to honor and recognize Karyme Briones, 2026 Salutatorian of Memphis Business Academy High School. WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to pay tribute to those students who, through their natural talents and unflagging commitment to academic excellence, have distinguished themselves in the classroom; and WHEREAS, Karyme Briones is one such exceptional student, who was recently named Salutatorian of the 2026 graduating class at Memphis Business Academy High School; and WHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, and steadfast commitment of time and talent, Ms. Briones has achieved outstanding academic success and joined the ranks of the best and brightest students in Tennessee and our country; and WHEREAS, in her remarkable high school career, Karyme Briones has earned an exemplary grade point average while participating in numerous extracurricular activities, including the National Honor Society and Student Government; and WHEREAS, her display of intellectual aptitude and ambition surely bodes well for her future success, as she plans to study political science and pursue a career in law, through which she will use her voice to advocate for justice and equity; and WHEREAS, in addition to her impressive academic portfolio, Ms. Briones has dedicated her time to serving others through tutoring and creating enrichment opportunities for younger students in her community; and WHEREAS, …
