A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Kenneth Walker III on being named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl LX. WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly are pleased to recognize an Arlington High School alumnus who has reached the acme of professional football as a Super Bowl champion and that game's Most Valuable Player (MVP); and WHEREAS, Kenneth Walker III had a great 2025 season overall as the starting running back for Seattle, but he definitely saved the best for last, rushing for 135 yards and making four receptions for 26 yards to lead the Seahawks to victory in Super Bowl LX and claim MVP honors in the process; and WHEREAS, Kenneth Walker III was proud to have his father in attendance for these milestones; the elder Mr. Walker had never before attended an NFL game but was persuaded to set aside his aversion to crowds and was delighted to witness in-person his son's MVP performance and Seattle's Super Bowl victory; and WHEREAS, nicknamed Thunder Shoes, Kenneth Walker III was truly a workhorse for Seattle; he played in all 17 games of the 2025 regular season, rushing for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns and making 36 receptions for 282 yards; and WHEREAS, after a teammate was injured, Mr. Walker became the primary back for Seattle's three playoff games; he obviously …
