A RESOLUTION to celebrate the birth of August Jett Cates. WHEREAS, we take great pleasure in celebrating the births of our State's newest citizens; and WHEREAS, August Jett Cates recently made his grand entrance into the world at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, weighing 8.3 pounds; and WHEREAS, his arrival brought great pride and joy to his family, including his parents, Rachel Cates and Krys Cates; his sister, Hadley Jane Cates; his grandparents, Representative Ron Travis and Laura Travis; his aunt, Jessica Shannon; and his cousins, Alley Jo Shannon, Beckham Colby Shannon, and Finley Scout Shannon; and WHEREAS, the Cateses are highly respected members of their community; they are the very epitome of good neighbors, as they always endeavor to treat others as they would like to be treated; and WHEREAS, for nine months, they eagerly anticipated the birth of their precious baby boy and worked assiduously to prepare for his entrance into the world; and WHEREAS, this wonderful new arrival is certain to bring joy and excitement to the hearts of family and friends alike; and WHEREAS, we find it appropriate to join the proud new parents, friends, and relatives of August Jett Cates upon the celebration of such a joyous milestone in their lives; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE …
