A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Reese McCann on his selection as All-South Atlantic Conference in men's tennis. WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should recognize those incredibly successful student athletes who have distinguished themselves as inspirational leaders among their peers; and WHEREAS, Reese McCann of Tusculum University has been named second team AllSouth Atlantic Conference (SAC) in men's tennis doubles in honor of his outstanding performance this season; and WHEREAS, Reese McCann helped lead the Pioneers to a 17-4 overall record and 8-3 mark in SAC play; and WHEREAS, Tusculum was ranked in the ITA Division II Top 30 for most of the season and claimed three victories against ranked opponents; and WHEREAS, Reese McCann and his doubles partner, Angus Howard, played numberone doubles for Tusculum, compiling an 11-9 overall record and a 4-6 mark in SAC competition; and WHEREAS, a native of Belfast, Northern Ireland, Reese McCann was instrumental in the Pioneers compiling a 15-6 record as a team in doubles competition this season, while going 6-5 in SAC matches; and WHEREAS, Reese McCann exemplifies the spirit, determination, and perseverance for which Tennesseans are notable, and he is richly deserving of our approbation on this special occasion; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE …
